SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

He has organized and participated in various national and international conferences (from 2007 to today); participated in educational seminars and his main research interests are: the mechanisms of power in Sparta (monograph on the relationship between diarchy and ephorate; contributions on political agreements within the dynastic branches; applications of justice in the archaic age); crucial moments in the history of Sparta between the end of the 5th and the first decades of the 4th century. to. C. (contributions on the war of Elis, on Agis II, on the role of Timea in the succession of Agesilaus); aspects of the ideological conflict in Athens between the 5th and 4th centuries BC. (contributions on Prodicus, Isocrates and Euripides); Pausanias’ method of information (monograph on the impact of local and oral reception of traditions; contributions on Pausanias’ narration of the Celtic attack on Delphi and on the role of the Thessalians in the genesis of the third sacred war; contribution on Pausanias’ fortune between the 19th and 20th centuries century); the impact of women in Greek history (contributions on Timea and Apia; editing of conference proceedings on the topic, including those of an interdisciplinary and diachronic nature); ethnic balances in the imperial age (contribution on Lucian, barbarians and Rome).
